SPARTANBURG, S.C. – (May 23, 2012) – Popular Southern Gospel trio Eighth Day has just earned another winner at radio with the release of their latest single. The new song – titled “Because of the Blood” – was recently named the second most added song of the month according to the upcoming July 2012 issue of the Singing News Top 80 chart.
Joni Robinson of Eighth Day said, “This song has been such a huge part of our ministry of the last couple of years. The message is timeless, and we know that people have gotten behind the song because of its simple message of hope and healing.”
“Because of the Blood” was written by Christie Capps and is the seventh single released from the group’s Absolutely Gospel Music Award nominated project Everything Holy. The group has scored an unprecedented five Top 20 singles off of the album including the #1 hit from last summer - “May I Never Get Over the Cross.”

The 22 year old singing sensation from Hernando, Mississippi wrote the song “Silly Questions” and credits the video being closely related to her own life stories. Before she hit the road singing, KC performed in front of crowds in the rodeo circuit as a barrel racer.
“The making of the video was brought to life from my heart and experiences and without those that put their expertise and hard work together, it would not have been possible!” said Johns. The video was filmed using a RED camera and shot on location in various parts of Nashville.
