GASTONIA, N.C. – The Pathfinders have earned their first three Diamond Award nominations.

The Pathfinders have been nominated for Album of the Year for the critically acclaimed Mercy Answered release. In addition, the group earned a nomination for the Sunrise Award – an award that honors the top new artists in the industry.

Also, group member Brian Dockins received a nomination for the Living Legend Award.

Dawn McGuire of The Pathfinders said, “We were so excited just to make the Top 10 in several categories! Now to officially be nominated in three categories is such an honor! Thank you to all of our fans for nominating us! We are humbled by these nominations.”

The 2008 SGN Scoops’ Diamond Awards will take place on Friday, September 12, in Louisville, Kentucky during the week of the National Quartet Convention. The program will begin at 1:00 p.m. and is free to the public. The 2008 awards program will once again be hosted by two of Southern Gospel’s most beloved faces – Karen Peck Gooch (of Karen Peck & New River) and Johnathan Bond (of Young Harmony).

The Pathfinders would like to encourage all of their fans to call in and request their new single, “Gabriel”, at Southern Gospel radio.

The Pathfinders’ newest release, Mercy Answered, is now available to purchase at concerts and events in which The Pathfinders will be appearing as well as available to purchase at the group’s website.

The group’s current single, as well as three other cuts from the album, are currently streaming on The Pathfinders’ MySpace.
