Daywind recording artist, Karen Peck & New River, is celebrating the tremendous success of their latest single, “Whispered Prayers.” It soared to the top of the charts in the upcoming November edition of the Singing News magazine. This will be the third consecutive #1 song from the group’s Grammy® nominated album, Journey Of Joy. The other two chart topping singles were “Last Night” and “Hey.” This is a very rare feat in Southern Gospel music. In addition to the Grammy® nod, the album received three Dove Award nominations this year.
Daywind Vice President and A &R Director, Norman Holland states, “Karen Peck & New River is not only incredibly talented, but they are as sincere as they come. We couldn’t be happier for their success.”
“Whispered Prayers” was written by Earl Galloway and Jeff Steele. Galloway expressed his excitement in that this is his first single as a writer to hit the top of the charts. He shared, “We love Karen and all of the group, and we couldn’t be more honored that they recorded our song. To see it go to #1 is icing on the cake!”
The group’s brand new CD is in stores now. It is called Ephesians One and features their new single, “I Want To Thank You.” The single, penned by the legendary Rusty Golden and his co-writer Jerry Salley, is already receiving rave reviews across the country.
