Howard Goodman Passes Away

So sorry to hear about Howard Goodman passing away. He is one of the greats that has gone on to be with the Lord.
My prayers goes out to Vestal and the rest of the Family!
Can someone tell me what happened to Mr. Goodman.
He will really be missed.

My mother tells a story of the Goodmans when they were young in their career. She said that on Sunday mornings, she would turn on the television and Vestal and Howard Goodman would be on the Jubilee program. Well, her father, being a womanizing alcoholic, would yell..."TURN HER OFF!!!" He couldn't stand her.

My mother always loved her, and when I was a child, she introduced their music to me. She would talk about how her father would never allow Vestal and Howard's music played in the house. Well, as I got older, I realized why. It was because Vestal and Howard were annointed. Even as a child, I knew that. Grandpa couldn't stand to be in the presence of anything that convicted him, and listening to Vestal and Howard minister did exactly that.

A few years ago, I was going through a horrible time in my life. I heard Howard and Vestal sing "The Lifeboat" and it ministered to me so strong, that I'll never forget it. The Spirit was, and always is, strong with them.

Now, Howard is in Heaven with his redeemer. He knows the great unknown. God be praised. Vestal, my prayers are with you during this time of grief.

We will all miss this wonderful man and his music. Vestal, we all look forward to hearing you sing for many more years. You and Howard have blessed so many and you will continue to do so. I first remember seeing you at the Queensway Cathedral in Toronto in the early 60's. You ministered under such annointing, I'll never forget. Your are truly loved!

I just got my computer for Chrostmas,and have just learned of Howard Goodmans passing.Heaven has gotten a beutiful choir,along with Rex,Sam,Rustyand now Howard along with the others in that heavenly throne.i have listened to the Goodmans since i was four or five yrs old.Vestal God does walk the dark hills.

I am in absolute shock! By browsing the website I just found out Happy Goodman passed away. What a loss! I first heard the Goodmans on The Gospel Jubilee while living in Virginia in 1972. They were a favorite of my Dad also. They were so dear to my heart over the years and still are, and Sam and Rusty were great also. Now Happy is with them and singing in Heaven. God Bless you, Vestal.

I will miss the wonderful love that Howard showed when he was singing and I would also like to say that being disabled I never thought about singing in my schools gospel choir but because of Howard I saw the pain he was in when he stood up to sing but he was embraced with the love of god and so I got the courage to sing in my schools choir so i want to say thanks Howard...............

What a blessing the Goodmans were. - but - they have reached that blessed place they sang about.
