Nashville, TN - Multi-talented singer, songwriter and pianist, Gordon Mote was among those honored at the 2008 SGN Music Awards Celebration, which took place last night, (Tuesday, April 29) at the River of Life Church in Smyrna, TN. Mote was named Musician of the Year during the Awards Ceremony, presented by http://www.sogospelnews.com. Accepting the honor with Mote were his wife, Kimberly, and son, Parker.

In recent months, Mote has enjoyed tremendous success touring with the popular Gaither Vocal Band on the Gaither Homecoming Tour, in addition to performing in excess of 50 solo concert engagements annually. Additionally, Mote is receiving radio airplay at stations nationwide and is currently riding high on the success of his Top 10 release, Mercy Walked In, the debut single from the popular musician’s Don’t Let Me Miss The Glory recording from RSI Music Group/Spring Hill Music Group. The sophomore release from the recording, Get Up In Jesus Name, is being shipped to radio stations nationwide this week and will be available through the Rick Hendrix Company.
