Russell O'Neal is home resting now and the Doctors have diagnosed him with Spontaneous Pneumothorax which occurs in individuals with no known lung disease. It affects close to 9,000 persons in the United States each year, most often among tall, thin men between 20 and 40 years old. The cause of this type of pneumothorax is the rupture of a bleb or cyst in the lung.

"The doctor said to keep a close eye on him for the next two weeks and she's hoping it will heal on it's own. If not they'll have to do surgery. But I'm not even going to focus on that, I'm just happy to have him home. Again, thank you so much for your prayers. He has been in awful pain but it seems to be easing off now. I know it's all because of the prayers!" stated O'Neal

===========

Russell O'Neal, 14 year old son of Heritage Communications' Jeff O'Neal, was admitted to the hospital today suffering from terrible pain and difficulty breathing. Tests revealed that he had a weak spot and a torn spot on his lung. He was admitted for observation and determination of treatment.

"When something happens to one of your kids you feel helpless and out of control. Please pray for him. I know that the Lord is in control and He will take care of Russell for me," stated O'Neal.
