NASHVILLE, TN – Fresh off his latest Dove Award (2007 Album of the Year), producer Michael Sykes and fellow producers Johnny and Aaron Minick have Ed Hill’s legendary group, The Prophets Quartet, back in The Playroom Studio this week…recording final vocals for their much anticipated 2007 Album.
This recording is The Prophets’ first since 1973. River Bend Media Group has assembled this talented and innovative team of producers in order to assure that The Prophets’ first recording in more than 30 years will not only be of high quality, but truly unique in today’s gospel market place. Mr. Ed Hill and Rev. Johnny Minick spent months planning the return of The Prophets…then several more months putting a group together that would feature great experience, outstanding singing ability and “fresh” material to record. The CD will include a few classics from The Prophets’ past, songs from proven gospel and inspirational writers and some tunes penned specifically for this project.
Plans are for a late spring radio “single” and a summer “street date” TBA.

Hurry up Prophets. I can't hardly wait.
Thanks -
I love the old prophets and can't wait to hear the new prophets. I will certainly want to purchase the CD when it comes out. Gail

Ed Hill is one of our greatest living legends! Not many people has had the experience and knowledge that he has. Although baritone singers normally don't get the credit they deserve, Ed Hill brings an identifiable sound to any group he's ever sang with. I'm glad to see he's bringing back the Prophets and can't wait to hear them!

I will be so happy when The Prophets return that will be a grand old time. With Johnny Minick involved with Ed Hill
this return will not be a failure. God has annointed these two great men to bring forth the gospel through their music. I agree that baritones are not recognized enough for their contributions to singing groups. I have always loved the sound of Hill and Minick. I remember Minick from the Goodmans, what a wonderful sound. Keep up the good work gentlemen. I am unable to go to concerts due to cancer so I rely on videos, dvds and cds to
help me throught 4th stage cancer. A Birmingham fan. God Bless.
