Don Baldwin, founder, original manager and baritone of the Couriers died this morning, February 24th, at 10:30 am Eastern at his home in Florida. He was 75. He had been suffering from serious complications from recent surgery and had been sent home from the hospital several daysago, under hospice care, as the doctors could do no more for him.

After leaving the Couriers in 1965, he established "Baldwin Sound Productions", a recording studio facility and the home of Hymntone Records. Many of the major groups recorded there over the years. He also served as an MC of the National Quartet Convention in the 70's.

Please remember the Baldwin family during this time. More details will be released as they are made known.

A memorial service for Don will be held at Victory Church, 1401 Griffin Road in Lakeland, FL. The service will be held at 1pm on Friday, March 9th

I am so saddened by the passing of Don Baldwin. I was born and raised in Pa., and it was a highlight of my life, as a teenager, to go to Harrisburg twice a year (at the Farm Show Arena) and hear The Couriers (along with other great groups) sing!! I will never forget the Couriers!! They have been a great blessing in my life!! God Bless The Baldwin Family!! My Love and Sympathy go out to you! Sincerely, Carol (Cornett) Hill Kingsport, Tn.

I am saddened, to hear of Brother Don's
passing. Another Shining Light", has been removed from us for now. But rest
assured, Heaven, has been made much brighter, with his presence. May his
memory remain with us always with his
Music. He also was a "Classy Gentleman",
who loved folks and was an encourager to
others. My wife Maxine (Max) and I will
will remember the Baldwin Family in our
prayers and we pray that the Holy Spirit
will embrace them all during this time.
