Doug is by far the best drummer I have ever seen or heard in this style of music. I've learned much by watching him play and patterned much of my style of drum playing after him. What a shame to know he is gone.

Doug was the best drummer there ever was, and was truly a family guy.
May god be with you in this time. -
It's amazing how our lives can change in a day. But the Lord never changes -- He's our Solid Rock. May the Mighty Comforter -- the Holy Ghost -- wrap them in the love of Jesus and bring peace that no man can bring.
"Peace I (Jesus) leave with you. My peace I give unto you; not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled; neither let it be afraid."
I don't understand these things, but I know God is faithful. We'll understand it better by and by.
God bless

Doug Riley was a true gentleman and someone that Tom and I both appreciated as a friend. We are shocked and certainly thinking of the family as they face the grieving process through the days ahead. When Doug left his latest message to us on our voicemail a week ago, we certainly never dreamed it would be the last one. What a wonderful testimony and a spirit of kindness he leaves behind, not only for the family he cherished, but for the body of Christ as well. He will be greatly missed!

I am in total shock! Doug was my buddy. He was a GREAT man, drummer, songwriter, husband, father, and man of God. I too Have incorporated his drumming style with mine. He has been a great inspiration to me, and i will miss him. I will be praying for all of the Gold City family.
