Southern Spin Entertainment Signs Johnny Minick to Exclusive Publicity Deal

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Amy Marie Unthank and Chris Unthank, owners of Southern Spin Entertainment, are pleased to announce the signing of Johnny Minick to an exclusive publicity agreement with the organization. Johnny Minick has acquired unlimited contact with all media outlets serviced by Southern Spin Entertainment, in addition to advertising and marketing possibilities through this exclusive agreement.

Johnny Minick has had a bright career in Gospel music. He’s traveled for over thirty years singing, preaching, and playing the piano, but he was most notably known for singing with The Happy Goodmans for many years. He is currently the pastor of River of Life Assembly of God in Smyrna, Tennessee.

Johnny has announced plans to release a new project, currently titled A Tribute to the Happy Goodmans. The new project is scheduled for the first of the year. In addition to the new album, Johnny has continued to book a growing list of concert dates for 2005.

“We’ve known Johnny for several years now,” said Amy Marie Unthank, Director of Internet Promotions for Southern Spin Entertainment. “We know he has a real heart for ministry, and he’s one of the most talented individuals currently in the Gospel music landscape. We’re excited about working with him in this next chapter of his life.”

The new Johnny Minick website will be unveiled in the coming months.

James Hales's avatar Will this be resurrection of the Johnny Minick Family or will this be solo? I loved the music of the family. Their recording from several years back entitled, "How Long" still remains one of my all time favorite recordings ever.

Chris D. Unthank's avatar James, there are many irons in the fire right now. I'm not a liberty to discuss everything, but right now, we are pushing his solo CD.

Only time will tell exactly what Bro. Minick has up his sleeves!

I have always been a big fan of Johnny's. He has so much power in his voice and he fit the Goodmans to a T. I can't wait to hear more from him. Jonathan White

Can you tell me if Johnny Minick is a relative of The Happy Goodmans, or did he just travel with them? Thank you.

SGN's avatar Johnny is NOT related to the Happy Goodmans but was a part of their group and ministry for a very long time.

I have been trying for quite a while to find the tape or cd that the Johnny Minick did a few years ago that included "That's no Hill For a Climber". It also had a song on it that was something like "Jimmy Got Saved". I really would appreciate the album name and where I might find it. Thanks, Wade Atkins
