Yes, he is.  If he ever pulls you over ask him to sing ‘cause he’s a heck of a bass singer too.

FYI - Rec’d a voice mail from Kevin’s mother in law tonight and she said that the doctor has told them that Kevin’s condition has improved slightly which is a direct answer to prayer.  His liver condition is now stabilized but is experiencing some complications with his kidneys.  The doctor has said that he might have to TEMPORARILY go on dialysis.

Folks, I can’t stress enough how much it means to me (as his friend) and to his family to know that so many people are calling Kevin’s name out in prayer.  Please continue to do so.

Hope you all had a wonderful LORD’S day.

I just heard about Kevin from Shane…I am so sorry!!  downer  I didn’t have a clue he was so sick. My heart and prayers go out to Rene and the twins. I pray God will heal him and restore his health.  I use to see the guys from N’Harmony everytime they came here for a concert (Va. Beach). I loved listening to each one sing…everyone had heavenly voices! I remember one of the last times the guys were here…we were having a great time talking about some of the things that happened “on the road”.  I still remember Kevin doing his impression of somekind of bird (can’t remember what it was now)...but he had us in stitches laughing so hard! I pray God will be with him, his wife and their twins. I just breathed a prayer for him.  Take care and God bless.  Jean

Sorry for the delay in an update on Kevin.  I spoke with Renee’ earlier today and PTL he is off of the ventilator.  They are bringing him out of sedation and he is weak, but doing somewhat better.  Still no word on the cause of all of this or any idea when he may go home.  His liver condition has improved and his kidneys are continuing to improve.  Please continue to pray for them.

I’ll pass along any additional word as I get it.

Rec’d via email from Kevin’s wife this a.m.

“Good morning!  Yesterday was a BIG day for Kevin as he was able to have the ventilator removed!  He says he is having to “think about” breathing, which is unsettling for him to say the least. But his monitors show he’s getting plenty of oxygen through his system with just the nasal canuli.  Much less to deal with than that ventilator.  Plus he can talk to me a little already, so the frustration of our inability to communicate has decreased considerably.  He’s off his pain medication and sedative, which is making him feel a lot better also.  He is extremely weak, after almost 2 weeks of inactivity and little to eat.
His liver functions and kidney functions have continued to improve each day.  They aren’t back to normal yet, but they’re headed there.  Kevin will have to follow up with a GI doctor later on to see if a liver biopsy is needed.  Right now the doctors are continuing to monitor his blood work, get chest x-rays each morning, work on breathing, and physical therapy.  Right now, we still don’t know what exactly happened to cause such a huge infection and overall shut-down of his body.  They said we may never know.
He’s come such a long way from 2 weeks ago.  Can you believe we thought he’d have to have a liver transplant last week?  He doesn’t remember much, if any, of these past days…which is good.  I was telling him about the countless people praying for him, radio stations and websites, and the numerous emails/phone calls I have received.  He looked at me and said “this must have been serious”!  If he only knew!
Please continue to pray for his regained strength, his breathing to get easier every day, and for his GI organs to continue to be healed.  There’s a possibility that he will be moved out of ICU in the next day or so.  If you’d like to send him a card or letter the address is:

Thank you all so much for your support and continued prayers.  I’ll email again with updates.”

Thank you Jesus for your healing touch on Kevin! I pray each day that Kevin will continue to get better and will soon be completely healed! Just wanted to share a few verses on healing.  Take care and God bless! Jean

In Matthew we have that promise from God, “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven”.....“For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them”.

“For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,” says the Lord. (Jeremiah 30:17).

“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16)

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7)

“Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” (Mark 11:24)

Rec’d from Kevin’s wife, Renee this a.m.

“Hello again.
We just wanted to let you all know how the past couple of days have been going.  Our computer is down at home, so we aren’t able to respond to email as quickly as we’d like.  Kevin is improving every day.  He even had his first physical therapy appointment today and that went really well.  It will still be several weeks before he’s able to return to work, but she was certain his full strength and functions would return quickly for him.
Thank you all so much for the continued prayers for his improvement.  We’ve been so surprised by the cards and phone calls these past few days/weeks.  Please pass the word along to all the many prayer chains across the country that Kevin is doing great!  We’re so glad to be home with our babies and thankful for all the prayers and support.”
