No, this Jeff Steele is Jeffrey Steele the former lead singer of 80’s country-pop band Boy Howdy. Jeff is one of the biggest songwriters in Nashville with dozens of hit songs recorded by Rascal Flatts, Carrie Underwood, and many, many more. At any given moment, about half of songs the country top forty have been written by five or six elite writers, plus their co-writers. Those elite writers include: Jeffrey Steele, Craig Wiseman, Rivers Rutherford, Bob DiPiero, and Tony Mullins.
