I sure hope the gas prices won’t affect the NQC attendance in a dramatic way.
I booked airline tickets from North Carolina to Louisville for the convention about four weeks ago because I felt there was going to be a big increase in gas prices.  Today that same ticket has increased more than 3 times as much as I paid in less than a month’s time.  I paid $331.50 and today it was listed as $1,017.00 (Same flight number ------same EVERYTHING ---except price.) Hopefully, we will all survive this gas situation!

Gas for us will be over $250, that’s almost as much as our hotel!!!

I’ve got an economical little car, so my gas shouldn’t be over $150 or so, depending on what the price is by September!

If our gas is as much as our total hotel bill for the week - Exec. Inn - then gas will be high indeed!

Our hotel fee (Executive West) will be about the same as three of us flying.....
but that’s better than three women driving 12 hours each way.
Anyway---hope the convention will be extra GOOD this year to make up for the high prices!!!

I’m carpooling with my daughter and granddaughter, maybe taking her car (if so the gas will be a little cheaper than in my van).

ROFLOL, I don’t think that is what High Fidelity had in mind when he suggested “car pooling”.

Dianna and I are flying to Louisville from Dallas-Ft Worth.  The tickets are 223.50 each (447.00).  If we drove her Ford Expedition the gas would cost about 400.00 at today’s prices.  A rental car will cost us about 220.00 for the week.  For about 70.00 more, we save 24 hours travel time and the wear and tear on our old bodies.  The best 70 dollars we have ever spent.
