Most have probably heard that XMRadio and Sirius satellite radio providers recently merged.  But, how many of you knew that now both services have a SGM radio station?

On XM radios, the EnLIGHTen station is on Channel 34 but on Sirius the station is on Channel 67.  The station is also available on DirecTV Channel 828 and Dish Network Channel 6067 as well as over the internet.

I can report the simulcast is working perfectly and it sounds great on both systems since I have XM in my car and Sirius at work.

If you know ANYONE with satellite radio, please let them know about this great station.  And, most importantly, if you are an artist or provide compilation discs to radio stations, hopefully, you will get your discs sent to the EnLIGHTen programming department.

Thank you for posting this! My elderly parents have been Dish subscribers for years. They are now thrilled that they can receive EnLighten on channel 6067. They are one of the many senior citizen subscribers who paid a “lifetime mebership” fee to Sky Angel but can no longer receive the programming because the signal now is available through the computer. They have never had and will never have an Internet connection. We talked with Sky Angel until we wrre “blue in the face”; however, since there is still a signal available there will be no refund on their “lifetime membership”.  Overall, they are much happier with EnLighten’s choice of Music than they were with the options on Sky Angel music channels anyway.

My wife’s new Mustang came with the sirius sevice, we were glad with the merger and started listening to enlighten the same day it was added to sirius.That you Lord!

It’s so good to be able to pick up SGM on the car radio.  It’s not that I couldn’t use an iPod of even add a data plan to my cell phone account so that I could pick up my internet SGM station, but this is so much more convenient and economical, and it thrills me the music and the artists I love can be heard anywhere in North America thanks to satellite radio and television.  It’d be great if we could a notice put in every church bulletin so that folks who enjoy SGM and that have satellite radio and TV get the word.
