a bass singer (Canadian) whose last name is/was Speerman (Spearman?), and who sang in a quartet called Royal City along with Parker Jonathan years ago?  My son lives in Maine and has come across a cassette produced by Eldridge Fox.  The information given to him is that Mr. Speerman was/is an outstanding bass.  I am anxious to hear the tape.

Are you sure about the last name? Anyway, he was very good. His actual vocation was as a chef and had previously sang with the Nations Quartet from Canada. I have the tape and heard both the Nation and Royal City at NQC when he was with them. Eldridge thought he sounded like Arnold Hyles but he was better than that. His natural voice was sililiar to Ron Bright who used to be the bass for Heavenbound. At the bottom end, similiar to Gene McDonald.

Go Glorylanders!

Hey, I know Ron Spearman. He is backing up an Elvis Impersonator in Canada.

Good singer, quality voice.

I’m a little slow getting back to this, but thanks for the replies.  Interesting information.
