Please pray for my Paw-Paw.  He has to go tomorrow to have a heart cath done.  They said once they get in there, if he has to have a stint or if he needed open heart surgery they would go ahead and do it while they were in there.  It really worries me.  He’s in his late 60’s I think.  He’s never had heart problems but his parents both died with heart problems.  I don’t know what my Maw-Maw would do if something happened to him. She has really bad nerves.  Please just say a prayer for him that everything will turn out ok and that he will get through all this just fine.  Keep my Maw-Maw in your prayers as well.  Thanks for the prayers in advance.  I’ll keep you posted!

Miranda, Is there an update on your Paw-Paw?  I have been praying for him and your Maw-Maw.  Hope everything is ok.

Sorry I haven’t posted an update. Please continue to pray for my Paw-Paw. As many of you know he had to have a heart cath done Friday and they found 5 blockages, so they had to do a Quadruple by pass on him. He had the surgery Monday and he came through the surgery alright. He is still in ICU. Originally they had told us he would be in ICU on average of 2 - 3 days, but this will be his 4th night in there. The doctor told my Maw-Maw this morning that healthwise he is doing good but he’s so confused, he just don’t think he’s ready to come out of ICU. He is getting really depressed. Everytime we went in to visit him last night he would just cry. It’s so hard to see him that way b/c he is always so strong and we have to be strong for him but it just breaks your heart to see him like that. I think he would be a lot better if they would put him in a regular room so his family could be with him and he wouldn’t be by himself. He’s staying so confused, it seems he don’t remember the family coming in to see him. He says he’s loosing his mind and he sees things crawling on the walls. Just pray for him that the Lord will give him peace, comfort and strength to get through this.  Pray for my Maw-Maw and the family too.

Just want you to know that sometimes following having had an anesthesia and major surgery some folks get confused, but it DOES go away.  Hang in there.  You’re right it will probably improve once family can be with him more.
