HEY THERE

JUST WONDERING ABOUT CO-WRITING WITH SOMEONE. IS THAT A GOOD IDEA?. I HAVEN’T WROTE WITH NO ONE ELSE SO FAR. I’VE HAD SEVERAL CUTS IN THE LAST TWO YEARS. ONE SONG ON THE SINGING NEWS CHART NOW. I LIVE IN BETWEEN MONTGOMERY & BIRMINGHAM ALABAMA.  WHAT’S YOUR EXPERENCE? IS ANYONE ELSE INERESTED CO-WRITING?

I recommend co-writing.  Two heads are usually better than one and with the internet it is not necessary that you actually live near each other...you’ve got cyber proximity.  smile

Simons, what song do you have on the Singing News chart?  If a prospective co-writer could know the name of the song, he or she could listen to it and get a good idea of what type of song you’ve been writing in the past.  A lot of writers won’t co-write with someone until they have heard their material.  It’s a way of deciding if your writing style would be compatible with someone else’s.
