sallyh, that is the way that AI is when they are in auditions..IMHO.. I agree with you too, it was a ‘dud’ show!! lookin’ for some better shows.. Right, ya’ll? We just have to keep watching our AI show.
It’ll get better once they get to LA. But we really, really don’t see who is who until they’re down to the final 20. That’s when we really get to listen to each individual.
Well this week was a little better, but are you ready for Hollywood week?
And what about Simon? Admitting he was wrong, and telling that Dolly Parton souding (although I didn’t hear it) girl welcome to Dollywood! He had me laughing quite a bit last night.
We were having big fat wet snowflakes fall and it messed up my Direct TV so I didn’t get to watch. But I too think that Simon is definitely showing his “softer side” this year.
Good show last night. Heard some really great voices. Like the way they are doing it this year. No group singing - that was always a bad scene; plus they can play their own instrument while they sing; also they get a 2d chance before the final cuts. But the 2d cut was ruthless!
I thought they let some go they should have kept and vice versa. But, the guy from around me is still in it although they did not show his highlights (don’t know if that is a good sign or not!) I really like two right now, The woman named Syesha, she has possiblities, and the man named Michael Johns. He is really good. But, there might be someone they did not show that is better than they are. Can’t wait until tonight! Good thing for dvr’s cause I can’t miss church for tv!
I liked Danny Norriega and strangely enuf the “rocker chick” Amanda Overmyer!
I notice too that there are a couple of Hoosiers! Rocker Chick is one of them!!!
I’m sure I’ll develop other favs as we’re able to hear them for longer periods.
I felt really sorry for the young kid who was sleeping in his car at the original auditions. But he did himself in with his final performance - it was really baaaadddd.
Well, what do you think of the 12 guys? Michael Johns is great!!!! I really like his singing. Danny Noriega is “funny” if you know what I mean. He has to be by the way he acts. Which takes away from his singing. My daughter likes David Archuleta, of course, but did y’all know that he won star search when he was 12? So of course he is good. Cant’ wait for the women to sing tonight.

Others right up there are, of course Michael Johns, Jason Castro, Robbie Carrico (he reminded me of Bo Bice!) Luke Menard - Indiana’s contribution (as a Hoosier I had to vote for him) was “goodish”. I originally liked Danny Noriega, but I surely didn’t care for his attitude last night. He really did not take criticism well at all.
Gals were pretty good last night, but I don’t have a #1 fav. I’m likin several - Carly Smithson (last singer) (had tatoos all over), Syesha Mercado - she’s the gal who had lost her voice at auditions, but managed to belt it out on the last day, Ramiel Maulbay, Asiah Epperson (her dad died 2 days before auditions started!) and I do like Amanda Overmyer, the rocker chick!!
