Went to bed last night with 2” snow and woke up this AM to find 8” of heavy, wet white stuff. My hubby is outside now playing with his snowblower and probably irritating our neighbors who stayed up too late or drank too much! We’re under a winter storm warning til 7 AM tomorrow. Glad I bought enough groceries for a couple days!
sallyh, Our weather is going to be very cold for the next two days and nights/ or untill Thursday night....We’ll have temps & wind-chills down to like 10 degrees- to 17 in Southern Counties.. Dah, guess I’ll really stay inside and ‘enjoy’ the warm heat and do Word-Find puzzles, watch some movies my Sis brought to me last week… God bless everyone who has really, really bad Weather… Jo#2
We had more snow yesterday - perhaps 3 - 4” more, then the wind started up - oh joy, drifting! We could still get more snow today - lake effect snow. (that’s a weather system that comes across Lake Michigan and just really DUMPS on the area). Like J#2 - I’ll just stay inside or in town and enjoy the time.
We were in Pennsylvania with the original Couriers on New Years Eve. Then, we left right after the concert, bound for our oldest daughter’s house in Chicago - to spend a few days with her, our son-in-law and our grandkids.
We stopped and got a room south of Pittsburgh - resuming our trip in the morning on New Years Day.
We drove through your South Bend / Mishawaka area in the late afternoon as it just was getting dark - and it was real tough driving. We arrived in Chicago about 9pm on New Years Day- and awoke the next morning to hear that you all had gotten a total of about 12 1/2 inches of snow. We got through there just in time.
Anita and I did talk about you as we were driving through your area - and did breathe a prayer that you and your husband would be safe - and have heat and electricity.
We got a little bit of snow New Years Eve and New Years Day, but it all pretty much melted now! But it is FREEZING outside now, but it is supposed to warm up a whole bunch here shortly!! Too bad it doesnt snow more so we can have ANOTHER week offa school! lol!!!

Happy New Year - friend!
Cliff!!! Good to know you were so close! Thanks to you and Anita for the prayers - all was well, we simply hibrenated (sp?) Going on the Toll Road thru northern IN - wow - from probably South Bend to almost into Chicago is some of the WORST roads to travel in a winter storm when we’re getting lake-effect snow (which we were). Right up around Portage - Michigan City is usually the absolute worst! I’d have prayed if I’d realized you’d be going that way at that time!
We had a tiny bit of snow on New Year’s Day. Didn’t last but about 30 minutes. The past two days have been like Spring...up in the 70’s and I’m loving that!!! Got my windows up today. I am so ready for Spring and warm weather!!!
By the way - all that snow that fell - it’s gone! In just a couple days and there are flood warnings in various places here in N. Indiana. It was 65 Monday!!!! I felt like a bear that had gone into hibrenation and awakened in April! Cooler today, but no snow - or rain, which we had in abundance, complete with thunder and lightning!
Well, in N. E. AR we have a ‘Winter Weather Advisory’ for here, the ‘Boothill’ of MO too??? ( I’m praying very much that WE don’t get anything but rain), In Jesus Name.. Amen
Indianapolis has a forcast of 5 - 8 inches of the white stuff.....
So far, only a about a inch or less, when I looked out my front door just now. I’m hoping the weather guy is wrong????
A couple of days ago, we had some high winds and a some tornadoes come thru town. did some damage on the westside suburbs and some big trees blew down in my area. None at my house, thank God.
Well, here in N. Indiana we got 6 - 8” overnight! It is STILL snowing and they are calling for another 6 - 9”. Think I’ll soon head out to the grocery!!! (along with tons of others!) I live in town - small town - so it won’t be difficult to get there. The hardest part will be exiting our driveway where the snowplows have tons of snow piled up. Get a runnin start!!! Bombs away . . . . .

MARCH 7, 2008 .UPDATE ON Jolene#2’s Weather Today!!!
“ Hey, Ya’ll” It’s ‘snowing’ in Northeast AR & Midsouth area, in MO too....
We’re to get possibly 6” of SNOW or more, but I will not get out and play in the ‘snow’.... welll, my oxygen ‘tubing’ would get all yukky and I sure don’t want to have a fall either… Amen…
So, let it snow, let it snow, God, just no ‘Ice’ Please In Jesus Name....
