My first thought was “so?”. The few times I’ve been to a Homecoming, the GVB has not been at their table. That’s one reason fans go, isn’t? To meet their favorite groups? And the last time I saw SSQ at their booth, I had something to give them, but “they” just shook my hand and turned away. I ended up going back later and giving it to a young man at the booth. I e-mailed “them” later and expressed my disappointment, but never heard back. The only time I’ve seen any commoners talking to anyone in GVB, is if they can catch them at the stage before they go wherever it is they go.
I thought the purpose of the table was to sell product. Some tend to get annoyed when they can’t get near the table to make a purchase due to those just standing there ogling the artists. When the Homecoming tour stops at the Palace of Auburn Hills the GVB tables may be set-up in 4 different places around the concourse. And yes, you don’t see any of the performers at the table yet people are stending 8 deep at every table. Even at the NQC many artist avoid their table area on days they’re due to sing.
I personally don’t go to concerts to “meet” the performers but to hear them sing and perhaps pick-up some cds. I’d just as soon let them initiate conversation.
