I would like all of you to pray for me and my family.  We are struggling a little financially right now and it’s really getting me depressed.  I know we’re not the only ones having this problem.  We’ve been doing ok financially but here lately we seem to be getting worse and worse and I don’t know what we’re gonna do with Christmas coming up.  I love Christmas but I can’t get into the Christmas spirit b/c of worrying about money.  God has always provided and always made a way for us, I just have to be patient and trust him.  I don’t want to sound selfish b/c I know there are others that are in worse shape than us.  I just want to be able to enjoy the Christmas Season.  Your prayers will be appreciated.  Thanks in advance!

I’ll be praying. And whatever happens, trust that God knows best, even if it doesn’t turn out the way you would have it. But I’ll be praying that it does.

Hi Miranda.  I know a little about how you feel--I remember a Christmas when our girls were young, when money was so tight that we couldn’t afford presents at all.  We have fond memories of that year, though, because we had to be so creative that the gifts were very unique.

The most memorable present was a coupon book that I have my daughter.  One of the coupons was a “Get Out of Jail Free” to be used for any offense.  Little did we know that she would save that coupon until she was 12 years old, take the truck for a “joy ride” around the block when we were sleeping and get off scott free!  It is fun looking back now many years later, but it wasn’t fun at the time.  It was scary and depressing.  But God was faithful and met all of our needs, but not all of our wants.

I will pray that God will meet your needs too, and give you peace.
