I had some of my old home videos converted onto DVDs by a local company. I would like to take clips from some of them and put them together—like vacations 94-95-96 onto a separate DVD.

Question: What program should I obtain that would allow me to do this?

I think you need to get some kind of dvd ripper that will first pull the dvd files onto your home computer.  Then you just need some kind of movie or video editor to let you put the clips together and then some dvd creator software so you can burn your new clips back to dvd.

Try google searches for all of that.  That’s where I usually start.

Video editing can be a lot of fun..  for the inexpensive route..  use Windows Movie Maker..  it may already be on your PC.

I bought the SONY Vegas program… and like it real well.  I use it to edit concert clips from live DVDs.. and use for samples in an online store.
