We participate most every month in the monthly gathering of the Branson
Gospel Singers and Songwriters Association, of which we are members. We meet
with fellow artists at the facilities of a Branson restaurant that has a
large conference room, where we have a Friday night and Saturday night
concert each month that is open to the general public - and we are always
filled to capacity. In fact, we are now making arrangements for larger
facilities for next year.

Normally, it is held the last weekend of the month, but it was scheduled for
this weekend, because of Thanksgiving. The Lord was apparently in our
scheduling plans, as we were in the right place at the right time last
night.

About halfway through the concert last night, one of our members came to the
stage to make an announcement about the situation of one of the waitresses
at the restaurant. Her name is Ashley and she is 20 years old.

Her Dad had been in the hospital and died on Tuesday. Then, her brother and
sister were in a car accident on Wednesday and they both died in the crash.

Ashley’s Mom had been in the hospital, being treated for cancer, and the
stress of all of this was just too much for her. While we were at the
restaurant in the concert last night, Ashley was contacted at work and was
informed that her mother had just died - just minutes before.

So, Ashley lost her father, mother, brother and sister within the last 4
days - and now has no family left. And, again, she is only 20 years old.

Of course, she was preparing to leave work. We didn’t find out if she knows
the Lord, but has been tender toward Him for sure. She has no family left -
those 4 were her whole family. She asked one of our members why God would
allow this? We brought her to the front and gathered around and prayed for
her. We were all weeping along with her. Then, we decided to immediately
take an offering, with all of the proceeds going to her. While we were
taking the offering, which totaled over $1000, we sang songs of comfort and
hope for her. Many of us gave her CD’s and other materials.

Knowing what a tough time this would especially be around the holidays, she
was invited to the home of one of our members for Thanksgiving, where a big
dinner is being planned for some that are also alone during the holidays.

And, we all gave her our contact information, encouraging her to call us at
any time of the day or even in the middle of the night. We will be singing
there again tonight, and may have an updated report of her condition, as a
result.

Please pray for this young lady, and put her name on prayer lists everywhere
you can. We promised her that we would get people praying for her - and your
help is needed for Ashley from Branson, MO.

Thank you.

I will pray for Ashley too, and I’ll ask my Sis to have her Church to put Ashley on their ‘prayer-list’ too. May God comfort her in His Special Ways..

Will ask some other praying-people to pray for Ashley too.

UPDATE -

I just got home from another concert earlier tonight (Saturday night) in Branson, and Ashley came to the concert for a little while.

I had a chance to visit with her for about 5 minutes. She is doing remarkably well, under the circumstances. She says she has her boyfriend, her fellow employees at the restaurant, and now our association to help her through this.

We all signed pages in a special book - writing special messages to her - assuring her of our continued prayers and giving her 24/7 contact info on many of us - if she should just need to talk to someone sometime in the day or night.

She said she was very appreciative for all of the prayer going up on her behalf - and said to thank each of those who prayed and have put her on prayer lists.

I expect she will soon be leaning on the Lord - if she isn’t already.

Please keep her in your prayers.

Thank you for sharing this special prayer request.  My heart is broken for Ashley, even though I do not know her....but God does!  I shared this special prayer request at church yesterday so others are also praying for her!

I hope Ashley allows those of you in her area to minister to her.  It’s a good sign she came by the concert again on Saturday night.  She is going to need support of others and I hope she leans on some Godly people for strength!

May God bless you as you minister to this special young lady!

Cliff, my heart just aches for Ashley.  This has to have been one of the most heartbreaking weeks any human being could ever have.

I know you and I know Anita - God did have you in the right place at the right time.  Please keep us advised as to how she is doing.

My prayers include Ashley.
