Love ya Bill, but the best thing to do to solve all the BCS and media bias and weirdness is to do the right thing.  Let’s just make the SEC Championship the National Championship and be real.

ROTFL - That’s Good!

Now I am typing real slow so you guys can understand this.  (just kidding) The point of this whole discussion is that national rankings mean very little.  My first post said things can change in a week and I was enjoying the moment.  I am a KU fan and the only place KU should be number four in the nation is in basketball, but I am loving the moment.  KU admittedly had a weak early season schedule, but has won on the road of late and put up big numbers on Nebraska.  I am worried about Saturdays game at Stillwater, so I am enjoying this week.  Also, as I said before, perhaps we can get some head to head SEC vs Big 12 games in the bowl season.

Would you at least agree with me that the big 10(plus one) and Pac 10 are over rated??

I definitely agree that rankings and media mean nothing...for sure!  I am actually worried about UGA (I’m a fan) because we have lost 2 crucial games and now we have Auburn this weekend...it really is a toss up.

I definitely agree that Big 10 and Pac 10 are overrated...to be honest they are really the ones that have the ridiculously high scores.

Ya’ll can talk basketball all day...I don’t watch it! smile

Ok i agree bill the espn sec bias is as bad in football as it is with the big east in basketball.  As far as Georgia beating oklahoma are you kidding, and Auburn wouldn’t stand a chance against Kansas or Missouri I will give you LSU is good but as I said they should have lost at least 3 other games this year. You have not seen kansas or missouri play this year if you think georgia or auburn is better.

Now, JWE, we already established that the SEC is superior.  Don’t keep stirring it up.  The case is closed and there’s no need to whimper about anybody west of the Mississippi river being anything more than fodder for football fantasy.  We were all in one acord, having come to grips with the painful reality until your last post!  Don’t pick at the scab, or we will never see this thing heal up!

Let’s don’t re-stir the pot...like Bill said earlier maybe we will see some of these match-ups in Bowl games.  You can’t accurately compare how Kansas and Missouri have played in the Big 12 to how Georgia and Auburn have played in the SEC...its like comparing apples to oranges...they are playing different teams.

Psst.  I agree with you, but our SEC friends believe all the press clippings.  We will just have to hope that the BCS matches them up.  Wait a minute.  Under the current plan I am not certain any SEC teams will qualify for a BCS bowl.  Especially when LSU loses two games between now and then.  Keep this quiet so we don’t upset them. LOL

We do all still agree that the big10(little 11) and pac 10 are way over rated.  As far as the Big East in basketball being overated.  Yes IMO

“Under the current plan I am not certain any SEC teams will qualify for a BCS bowl.”

The SEC teams should fill their schedules with midget league teams like the little fellows to the west do.  That way they can play in BCS bowl games.  With the SEC teams whooping up on each other, it just goes to show that the level of play is tougher.

BCS - Benefits Cheezy Schedules.

Hey guys, this has been fun.  I must run off to work at SDC for the evening.  I suggest we renew this after the weekend games.  I trully hope Mizzou loses and ruins my fun.  As a KU fan I am not allowed to root for Mizzou team.  I hope KU can beat OSU, but I have no feeling one way or the other with Texas and OU.

ROCK CHALK JAYHAWKS, KU.  Now everyone raise your arms above your heads and wave the wheat.  Wasn’t that fun. smile

OK guys.  What did you think of the weekend.  Big twelve now has two teams in the top five.  LSU being number one is a joke.  They will lose two games by season end and should have already lost at least two.

I thought the weekend was great...My VOLS kicked some hawg hiney, and Ohio State gets beat.

I missed out on all the discussion about which conference is the toughest...but there ain’t no doubt in my SEC lovin’ mind.

Billswinners, you might be right about LSU losing at least one more game this season...When they face Tennessee in the SEC championship game!

GO VOLS
