I just got through watching the speech of Sarah Palin to the Republican Convention. It was amazing. She was strong, eloquent, and pointed. She was in short a force to be reckoned with, and did not say um 400 times. I think I may be a fan now. We’ll have to see how she holds up, but she definitely started out hitting a home run. WOW, who knew?
I think she is a very knowledgable woman. She is tough, gentle, stern, compassionate, as well as, an all together woman. I didn’t hear all she had to say last night. She held my husbands attention for the whole speech.
He thinks she is a knowledgable woman also.
Sarah Palin was brilliant, and she handed Obama his lunch on a plate, she did it with grace and eloquence. I’m looking forward to more of her, and her tough brand of politics. She is a take no prisoners kinda gal.
Last nights speech was to introduce here to the American voters, her speech was not designed as a policy speech, but as an introduction of who the next VP will be.
Every talking head on television is speculating on whether the addition of Palin to the McCain ticket will attract some of Hillary Clinton’s supporters.
They really don’t get it.
It isn’t about attracting Clinton’s votes. It’s about getting conservatives who had decided not to vote this year to change their mind. A lot of conservatives had decided to stay home this year rather than cast a vote for McCain. Now, they’re energized and determined to go the polls and vote for McCain-Palin.
I spoke with a conservative Democrat this evening who said that very thing. He couldn’t support Obama, and didn’t like McCain much either. He had decided not to vote...but the choice of Palin has changed his mind, and he’s now firmly in the McCain-Palin camp.
I can only say that I have heard this story many times over on some politico blogs, the over all effect I think you are 100% on target more Republicans will get out to vote, not millions of former Hillary voters are going to jump ship, but Sarah has really energized the bass [ups that should be BASE] and mids.
The more the libs dump on her the more likely working moms will support her. The NOW gang will never jump ship but working women and homemakers might come around. She’s a pleasant change from all the angry women we’ve seen in politics lately. Can’t wait for the debates.
Here in Michigan we were really hoping for Romney as the veep pick but Govenor Palin is a great pick.
Here is a question.
Which woman executive would you prefer to work for between Hillary, Michelle Obama, Nancy Pelosi or Sarah Palin?
Well Obama steps on his tongue tonight when he was quoted about putting lipstick on a pig… The Democrats don’t get that attacks on Sarah Palin will buck up on then doing damage every time they try to run her down, every lie is being answered and each time the Democrats attack her, more women come running to the Republican side of the isle.
Well, I posted awhile back in here?? Well, it was after Thompson, Huckabee & Rudy dropped out of the Presidential Race.... said my ‘vote’ was going to John McCain & it still is, Amen.... Especially since he picked his VP candidate..... Yeah! Yeah, for McCain-Palin for our next President & Vice President in Nov. !!!!!
The first time I read this, I thought it was dangerously true. Then I really started pondering it and thought how would this apply to our own lives/careers? Let’s look at it again to see how absurd it is.
You couldn’t get a job at McDonalds and become district manager after 143 days of experience.
You couldn’t become chief of surgery after 143 days of experience of being a surgeon.
You couldn’t get a job as a teacher and be the superintendent after 143 days of experience.
You couldn’t join the military and become a colonel after a 143 days of experience.
You couldn’t get a job as a reporter and become the nightly news anchor after 143 days of experience. BUT.... ‘From the time Barack Obama was sworn in as a United State Senator, to the time he announced he was forming a Presidential exploratory committee, he logged 143 days of experience in the Senate. That’s how many days the Senate was actually in session and working. After 143 days of work experience, Obama believed he was ready to be Commander In Chief, Leader of the Free World, and fill the shoes of Abraham Lincoln, FDR, JFK and Ronald Reagan. 143 days?
We all have to start somewhere. The senate is a good start, but after 143 days, that’s all it is - a start. AND, strangely, a large sector of the American public seems to feel comfortable with this and are campaigning for him. We wouldn’t accept this in our own line of work, yet some are OK with this for the President of the United States of America?
Come on folks, we are not voting for the next American Idol!!

Well, I hope you don’t mind me clicking on Quote concerning your post and I really agree with all of your points 100% to.... And that last “line” is so very true too...!!! so many are thinking & speaking out that they’re voting for this (’Obama’) Barack man...) You really would think and believe they were “Voting” for American Idol, the TV Program… What will folks like that do to the USA...?? ( I like your post’s on this subject to!!)
Amen, Amen, to all of your post’s.... Jo#2
Did anyone watch the interview with Charlie Gibson and notice how much it seemed they edited context out of the interview in her answers? I just got through watching it on youtube, and while she made no major mistakes, the interview seemed choppy due to ABC’s cutting and pasting. I find it hillarious that the mainstream media is trying their best to smear her by even taking a lot of the context out of her answers in an interview to make it seem as though she may have said something different from what she actually did say. Just an observation.

Yes, I didn’t like the way Gibson did that interveiw either, but didn’t think about ‘they’ had edited it before broadcast of it?? Guess I’ll have to find me another TV Station to watch the News on now!!! (but I think she did just fine anyhow) Yeah, for Sarah Palin.... Yes, McCain & Palin has my vote on Nov. 4th.~~ God Willing.
