Does anyone remember the trio (I think) THE MEREDITHS? They sang a great song somewhere between 1995-1998 and it was titled something close to “A NEW REVELATION”. I was just wondering what happened to them.

There was a Merediths Trio that traveled out of Swansea, SC. In the mid 1990’s it consisted of Alesia and Brent Meredith and a Larry Shaw. The trio I believe was formed by the Merediths father. I don’’t recall his name. Whether they still sing I don’t know and really don’t know if these are the ones you are referring to.

They had a GREAT song called “When I See the Lamb” when Dik (that was the correct spelling, I think) was alive.... We recorded it back in 2004.... still sing it. I am pretty sure that they quit a while after Dik died.

Dik, was that the father’s name? I really didn’t know them personally.

I have a long playing record from the 50s of Dwight and Norma Meredith, great husband and wife team. I would guess the trio you’re talking about must be related to them somehow.

Hi everyone - I remember the Merediths - I sang with them!  I believe the song in the original question would be “Guaranteed Reservations” from our project, “Formal Occasions”.
After Dik (Pops) died in June 1996, we continued to travel full-time as a trio until May 1999.  We did some tours through that summer, then finished up in September 1999.
Brett and his wife Mary are now Salvation Army officers (pastors) in Kerrville, TX.  Their kids are growing too fast!
Alesia and I are doing very well.  I’m on staff at a wonderful church in Lexington, SC; Alesia is a full-time mommy to our two great kids, with one more on the way!  We’re still writing songs, and we still hit the road to minister every now and again.  If you ever catch Alesia and I in the same area with Brett, we’ll even sing some old Merediths tunes with him!
It’s nice to know that folks enjoyed the music and the ministry of the Merediths, even almost 10 years after leaving full-time road ministry.
I saw Brett a month or so ago, and I reminded him that it was time to record the 10th anniversary of our coming-off-the-road album!
Everyone be blessed - hope to see you soon!
