I am having a good laugh at the “tune-up"conversation. There was an “automotive
technician instructor” on one of the talk shows today, and he was telling that the only cars that need tune-ups were made before 1985. All cars after that date do not require tune-ups, because they are automatically adjusted by the in-car computers.

I just had new tires, which were properly inflated, put on my van. My gas mileage increased 0.6 miles per gallon. That is far from 25%.  Obama’s suggestion that we can save more gas than we can drill for by inflating our tires, assumes that all Americans are so stupid that they drive with flat tires.

Remember that Obama had the figures that giving the nation a tax holiday would only save every driver 60 cents per month. What planet is he living on? IF the Dems think that George Bush is not intelligent, Obama makes him look like a genius.

Day 4 and still no study presented by Big Fred.  Guess he couldn’t find one.

It has been more than 10 days since I asked for you to site a comprehensive study that backed up that 25% figure and that said that we would save as much energy as we would get from drilling by inflating our tires.  Still no answer, huh.  The silence has said so much.  Thanks for the fun debate though.  It was a blast.

I’ve been in this businuss of designing and building cars for a long time. You cannot even find the term “tune-up” in any of my cars owner’s manuals. A tune-up used to be points, condenser, plugs & wires.

The larger issue, that I think bothers people, is Barak Obama’s condescending attitude. He “talks down” to people as if the rest of the country is a bunch of morons. This from a guy who’s favorite position on any given issue is “present”. The minute he gets off his prepared text he stumbles all over himself.

The more i hear him the more i’m reminded of our mayor here in Detroit.
Another smooth-talking young man with limited experience aspiring to a position way beyond his ability.
