I recently posted a forum on The Kingdom Heirs. I’ve had the privelage of seeing them twice in the last few months. Not only do I think that they’re the best group out there, but there’s something else I noticed. Jeff Chapman is an amazing bass singer. I remember when I first heard him with The Anchormen. He was a good bass back then; but he has grown by leaps and bounds. I think that he is lower and definately more powerfull than ever before.

But I think that he’s been listening to a LOT of Gold City. Now if you know anything about Mr. Chapman, you know that he is a funny guy, and can do a lot of good impersonations. He even does a Tim Riley impersonation. But his bass singing is patterned after Tim without a doubt. I heard someone say that he listens to a lot of Tim Riley’s singing. If that is true, then it shows. Jeff sounds like Tim quite a bit now, and it’s all good. He’s got power, presence, passion, and true showmanship.

Am I the only one that sees this? What do you all think? God Bless!

As I remember it, there was a chatters’ luncheon at John somebody or-other’s home. John lived on the east side of L’ville. There wasn’t any singing, just eating and talking. I know HT was there, hubby and I were there, Gwen Mast, too, but I’m at a loss for who else I met.

HT - do you remember??
