Hello global friends,

My name is Daniel Childs and I am the great-grandson of founding member of the Blackwood Brothers Quartet, Roy Blackwood… and am the grandson of Cecil Blackwood, who joined the Blackwood Brothers in 1954 after the death of his brother, RW Blackwood, Sr. My grandfather stayed with the group until his unfortunate death in the year 2000.

As many of you know, there are a couple of fantastic groups carrying on the family singing legacy. You may remember me from my days with my uncle Mark Blackwood’s awesome group, the Blackwood Gospel Quartet, and also from my days with the Toney Brothers Quartet.

I am now off the full-time road and am pleased to announce that my first cousin Chris Blackwood and I are forming a part-time quartet called Blackwood Revival, and seeking a good tenor singer.

This will be a part time group for now, as we all have full time jobs…. and we are looking for someone who loves the Lord, is a strong singer, and is open to go sing at churches on weekends. We are also looking for someone who lives close enough to Nashville to make it to town for practicing and recording.

If you can play piano… that’s a huge plus. Anyone who can play piano and sing, please contact me. However, if you cannot play piano, that is also quite fine! We are simply looking for the fourth man to complete this group.

Everything is in developmental stages at the moment, and if you think you have what it takes, please send me an email at brquartet at gmail dot com and please submit (if possible) a bio/resume on yourself, a demo or youtube video of you singing, a picture, and information on your current occupation.

One footnote: we are not the Blackwood Brothers. Though Chris did work with the group when our grandfather ran it, we are not the actual group. We are simply fourth-generation descendants of the original Blackwood Brothers wanting to continue the family singing legacy for years to come!

May God bless you all, and I look forward to receiving your emails!

Daniel Childs

I am a singer without a group. I really would love to be on the road sharing the gift that God provided with His people. I have a degree in music from Toccoa Falls College. While a student I got the opportunity to travel during the summers with small music ensembles sharing Christian vocal music in churches and camps. Those summers traveling and singing with brothers and sisters in Christ were huge blessings in my life. I can sing Bass/Baritone (down to G below low C), Lead, or Second Tenor (up to A above middle C). I really want something full-time. I currently live in northeast Georgia but I am willing to relocate for a full-time group.

I would love to hear about your group and the ministry you have. If you have a website please send me a link. If you are a national group and do not want anyone to know about personnel changes I will be completely discreet. I will not discuss your personnel changes without obtaining your permission.
