2002/Bended Knee Music

Featuring mainly former hit songs and cover tunes of other groups, along with using the original tracks for these songs as well, one would think Yielded wouldn’t have much left to surprise you with.  That is, until you listen to them sing.  These ladies have got the singing and harmony down to an art and they really have talent to burn.  Karen Winston, Terry Mills and Kimmie Worthington have some the best harmony together than any group I know.  Collectively, they can sing along side anyone in the industry.  Style-wise, they are a cross between the Hinsons, Perry Sisters, Ruppes and Crabb Family, and a lot of that shows through in their choices of songs.  Speaking of which, songs include:  “WHEN NOTHING BUT A MIRACLE WILL DO”, “I’LL DROP MY ANCHOR”, “WHEN HE REIGNS”, “I COULD TELL YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN” (a definite highlight and my favorite of the recording), “THEY CAN’T START THE CELEBRATION”, “OLD TIME RELIGION” (excellent acapella singing), “WELCOME TO HEAVEN” and “JESUS IN A SONG.”

My only gripes are that there are only 8 songs on the CD and the overall quality of the CD is not quite up to industry standard.  But, they really make up for some of that in their singing.  All in all, this is not a bad recording for a group being together for only 4 months at the time of recording!  Like I said earlier, these ladies can sing, and given the right producer and studio musicians, these ladies will be blazing trails like never before!  It will be fascinating to watch and see God work through the music ministry of these talented ladies.
