The Riffle Family's project Let God Be God on the Journey label features some very nice family harmony from the family group that consists of father Robert, mother Lora and their two sons Bryant and Justin. Some combination of Robert Riffle, Lora Riffle, and Zane King are credited with writing eight of the ten songs on the album.
The project is filled with 10 songs that are unmistakably southern gospel. "Let God Be God" starts the project as a nice mid-tempo tune. Next is a nice Easter-themed song titled "There's Been A Resurrection" that has a Bluegrass sound. Other favorites include "Worth The Trip" and "I Love The Lord".
There is no doubt something special about family harmony. The Riffle Family, which hails from West Virginia, demonstrates this very well on Let God Be God. The soundtracks and production quality from Zane King are top notch as usual. This is a fine recording that the Riffle Family should rightfully be proud to claim. If you are a fan of the Riffle Family or attend one of their concerts and like what you hear, you will not be disappointed in this CD.
