The Old Paths of today are an outstanding quartet; consisting of tenor, Jeff Schreiber, Tim Rackley singing lead (one of the best vocalists in the industry today), Douglas Roark on baritone and one of the best young bass singers in the industry today, Brandon Barry. If I may coin a Randy Jackson (American Idol) phrase, these guys "have got it going on!" They have gelled and molded themselves into a first class male quartet and there is nowhere to go but up. They have a fresh, clean sound and that sound exudes class, dignity and grace, but also displays plenty of energy and excitement. The time for the Old Paths has come, and this is the recording that will make people sit up and take notice.

The medium tempo, "IS THIS WHAT YOU HAD IN MIND?" penned by songwriting veterans Joel Lindsey and Sue Smith starts the recording off right before the pace picks up for the well executed quartet sounding number, "WE'LL SING A SONG", featuring a nice bass feature by Brandon Barry.

Douglas Roark sings the power ballad, "FROM THE CROSS TO THE LOST" before Tim Rackley sings the highly energetic campmeeting flavored, "OH BLESS HIS NAME", penned by Chris Binion. This exciting tune has "radio" written all over it and you'll definitely find yourself hitting the repeat button quite often with this song as well.

Penned by Douglas and Brandon, the lyrics of "HE'LL SEE YOU THROUGH" very calmly reminds us that "God will not guide where He will not provide, He'll never lead you through the valley without walking by your side. He's already walked ahead of you, and I know He'll see you through."

The pace picks back up for the song, "EMPTY BUCKET" before slowing back down for the Rodney Griffin penned tune, "PORTRAIT OF GRACE", which includes part of the chorus of the oft used hymn, "Grace Greater Than All My Sins" as a bridge. Keeping things in slow mode, tenor, Jeff Schreiber is featured on the Inspirational sounding, "HE CHOSE THE TREE" before Tim kicks things back up into high gear with "THE ROCK THAT WILL NEVER ROLL AWAY". (I also really like the little vocal effects on the song as well).

The anthem, "WE WILL GO ON" is a great song of perseverance proclaiming that "we will go on.by the Grace of God we will go on", while the uptempo, "YOU'VE GOTTA LOVE THE LOVE" offers up another great bass feature before the recording concludes with a challenge to everyone, "WHAT WILL YOU CHOOSE TODAY".

I am truly impressed with these guys. This is the best recording they have done since the group's inception. With a conservative look that reminds me of a "today's" version of the Inspirations, and a sound that I would consider a blend of Gold City and the Down East Boys, The Old Paths is a group I highly recommend everyone to check out. Their sound it tops, the tracks are great, and song selection is excellent.this is truly an exceptional piece of work.

Personal Favs: IS THIS WHAT YOU HAD IN MIND?; WE'LL SING A SONG; OH BLESS HIS NAME; HE'LL SEE YOU THROUGH; THE ROCK THAT WILL NEVER ROLL AWAY; YOU'VE GOTTA LOVE THE LOVE

These guys are awesome singers who walk the walk and talk the talk. They are devoted to the Lord and are not afraid to say so! This CD has rich vocals and every song is great. Their concerts are great, but their main goal is to have souls saved.

Thank you for your ministry guys! Total wishes and best reagards!

I absolutely love these guys! They are a blessing to me. What you see on stage is what you see off stage. These guys live what they sing. This is their best album so far. I really love "We'll Sing a Song", "He'll See You Through"(this song has helped me through some trials lately) & "He Chose The Tree". I believe that Brandon is the best bass in the business, Tim is the best lead in the business & Jeff is the best tenor in the business. If you haven't seen them in person you need to. They will truly bless you!!!

Not only are these guys our personal friends, but they serve a Personal God. They live what they sing and God is blessing them for that. We are so excited to see God work in this ministry and are proud of them. Mountain Creek Harmony

God has His Hand on The Old Paths. If you're part of the crowd that likes to see God show up at a meeting, go see The Old Paths the next time they're around. The Today project is comparable to anything out there today.

Everytime I turn around I hear something about this wonderful group! The souls being saved as a result of their ministry is really astounding! I can't wait to see what's gonna happen next...there hasn't been a group like this since the Cathedrals! They ARE todays Cathedral Quartet!

These guys are the real deal! I love the spirit and willingness to do what it takes for the cause of Christ that these men have. I recently asked them to be a part of the "Tornado Relief Benefit Concert" that I organized in Enterprise AL on the March 26, and without delay they agreed to do it ( No questions asked). They drove all night long from Close to Charlotte NC just to help some people out. That is what I am talking about. Thank you fellas for being a blessing.
