The Lesters - Believe

In true Lester tradition, this fine family group has put together another fantastic CD for your listening enjoyment.  The song selection is wonderful.

“God’s Gonna Move” opens the CD with lots of energy. I love the Progressive Southern Gospel sound that The Lesters produce, and they have perfected it on this album. Tight harmony, superbly close unison, and two, three and four part harmony are mystically intertwined to give some beautiful sounds.

Jenny does a terrific job interpreting the ballad written by David Patillo, “The Middle Man”. Fellow St Louisian, Terry Gunn, penned “All The Glory”, featuring Ginger and she makes this song feel very warm. They give Dan the nod on “Something To Talk To God About”. This is a song that just keeps going on and on in your mind after the music has ended. Revamping an old Albert E Brumley song, “I Believe In The Lord”, they have given a whole new sound to this song, one that you are sure to enjoy. Trecia sings “You Are Worth It” with a lot of feeling and expression. What an uplifting message is in this song.

“Walking In Victory” would be a great radio release from this CD. Brian puts so much excitement into this song that you can feel the victory coming on as they sing it to you. “The More I Know” would also be a good radio release.

My favorite song on the CD is the one they saved for last. I think that Gerald Crabb may have written another number one song in “The Holy Bride”. Not only is the message of the song stirring, but it is charged with an excitement that is sure to come through even on the radio. YOU can sit back and have your socks blessed right off your feet with this cut. You heard me right; this is one of three songs that I think would go great on the radio.

I haven't purchased this CD yet but I look forward to getting it. Each time I've seen The Lesters, I have been truely blessed. All the way from Wimauma, FL to Paducah, KY, The Lesters present themselves the same way all around - as wonderful Christian men and women willing to serve God to the best of their abilities.

If you get the chance to see The Lesters soon and have never had that opportunity, please go and be prepared to receive a blessing. I assure you, this family will bless your heart.

Love you guys!

- Brian
