The Cline Sisters - Just Call His Name
The Cline Sisters sound could best be described as a” Dolly Parton/Appalachian” style. Song selection consists of medium to slow tempo songs, with only one upbeat number included. All of the songs were written by A. Blankenship and D Hatfield and while there are some good songs on this CD, much of it sounds alike, which is often a problem when you use only one songwriter. My favorite song on the CD is “Never Been A Man”. Other songs include the title cut “Just Call His Name”, “I Wish I Could Have Been There”, “Behold The Son Of God”, and “Daddy, She’s Just Sleeping” along with five other songs. I could not find the sisters’ names anywhere on the CD. I had to search for them on their website. This group made up of three sisters, Anita (Cline) Blankenship, Fonda (Cline) Hatfield, and Adrianne (Blankenship) Lester have good family harmony and the full orchestrations on the CD are nice.
