Mostly known for their hits from the 1970's like “One Way Flight”, “Here They Come” and “Free Indeed” , the Telestials are churning out hits again with songs like “One Day”, “Somebody's Coming” and “He Was Thinking of Me”. Consisting of Beth Glass, Jerry and Bethany Brown, Caleb Brown and Matt Hill, the group carries on a tradition started over 40 years ago and they carry it very well. Bearing a strong country feel to their music, their style has a very earthy, but yet edgy cut to it.

The strong country beat of the infectious “JESUS BE A FENCE ALL AROUND ME” gets the recording off to a rousing start, while “TOO FAR GONE”, penned by Joel Hemphill and Candy Hemphill Christmas offers hope that “…with God, there's no such thing as too far gone.”

As I said earlier, the name “Telestial” has been around gospel music for many years, and this unique novelty song entitled, “A TELESTIAL”, sheds some light as to who they are and what they are all about.

The easy flowing “QUIET TIME” penned by Woody Wright offers some advice for those whose life may seem to be in a bit of turmoil to relax and have a little one on one time with God. Turning things back into high gear is the uptempo, “GOD IS IN CONTROL”.

Slowing things back down, “THE PRICE OF LOVE” reminds us of the price Jesus paid for us on the cross and I believe that this song would be an excellent release to radio. The tempo picks back up with “HE TURNED MY LIFE AROUND” which was penned and features lead singer, Matt Hill.

The group's current single is the comforting, “GOD KNOWS” and is a great song of comfort that no matter what you are going through in this life, “God knows and God cares...and He holds the answers to all your prayers…”

Bringing back a favorite from the early 1970's, the Telestials sing the Joel Hemphill classic, “I'LL SOON BE GONE” before closing out with another Woody Wright penned tune, “THE JOY HE'S GIVEN ME”.

As stated earlier, the group has a very strong country sound and they sound their best vocally when Matt takes the lead. Matt has a very good, strong voice that lends itself very well to the Telestials' sound. If you enjoyed their last CD, this one is even better and harbors some really great songs.

Personal Favs: JESUS BE A FENCE ALL AROUND ME; TOO FAR GONE; THE PRICE OF LOVE; GOD KNOWS

The Telestials have been a great group through the years and have introduced a lot of great songs to this industry. Their latest single, God Knows, written by Dave Williford is a great song. I want to congratulate them on a great cut and Dave for a great song.

I have been a fan of The Telestials since 1974, and every song they have ever recorded has substance. This new release is no exception. If you have not yet heard this recording, I encourage you to add this to your library today.
Your heart will be blessed.

Words of Hope by the Telestials is by far their
best project yet. Their current single "God Knows"
is an awesome song. I truly hope that radio will
give it the airplay it deserves. The Telestials
have given the world some powerful songs through
the years, ie: On Way Flight, Free Indeed,
He Was Thinking of Me, etc. I just wish that promoters and DJ's and trade papers, would give
them the time they so deserve. If you're new to
gospel music, you need to get this project and
experience The Telestials. You're in for a treat!

I'm listening to the Telestials newest cd, "Words of Hope," right now, and I just want to say that I'm lovin' it! Even better than that though, I love the people that are singing on it. This recording has some really fun songs as well as beautiful songs of the hope we have through Christ. I encourage you to get your own copy of this cd to hear for yourself and go see the Telestials in concert when you get the chance. I'm sure you'll be blessed by their music and testimony.

These are some of the best folks in the world. I should know since I have traveled with them on and off for the past 9 years. Sometimes a pianist and sometimes the lead singer (and only once or twice the bus driver, 'nuff about that) With that said, I get to not only listen to but learn all the new material. Therefore my opinion is not biased! Okay, maybe it is. But this is an open forum!
This is one great album! I listen to it even when I don't have to! LOL!
The Telestials have been "stickin' with the calling" for a long time. I admire a group of folks that refuse to give up and keep going even when the industry forgot about them.
By the way, many of you know me as a solist. You know what a soloist is? It is one person who can't sing with three other people! That is me and now I'm finished!
