Through his own group N' Harmony and his year stint with the Signature Sound Quartet, Shane Dunlap well established himself as one of the most powerful lead singers in Southern Gospel Music. Now on his own, Shane proves that even when he stands alone as a soloist, he is still a powerful vocalist.

Several of these songs may seem familiar as these have all been previously recorded by other artists from the Journey Record label, mostly by the groups Chosen Few and Appointed. Shane adds his own, unmistakable vocals to each song and literally breathes new life into these tunes. Some of my favorites include “KEEP IT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD”, “HE'S ALL THE ABOVE”, “IN MY WEAKNESS”, “LET GO & LET GOD”, “NO MO RE LOOKING BACK” and “A STRONG HAND”.

Other songs include a unique version of the old hymn “O, I WANT TO SEE HIM”, the novelty tune “THE FIRST BASEBALL GAME”, as well as “UNSHAKEABLE FAITH” and the hugely popular song, “FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST”.

Though Shane recorded these songs with the original soundtracks by their respective artists, I am impressed with how Shane took each song and made it his own and even though you may have heard these same arrangements and tracks before, they sound brand new. I don't usually rate recordings with pre-recorded tracks very high, (and many times I just won't review them) but because of the overall quality of the recording and how seamlessly Shane fits in vocally with each song, I had to review it and found it worthy of 4 stars.

Former N'Harmony frontman and Signature Sound lead singer, Shane Dunlap, has been very busy the past few weeks recording his very first solo project! The well noted award winning producer Zane King is producing the project, which is already getting rave reviews from several industry professionals. Shane states "It has been very exciting to get back in the studio with Zane. He is the one who produced all of N'Harmony's hits in the past such as "There's Peace in Knowing," "Out of The Blue," and " One Fine Day" along with many more." Zane King says, "I truly believe that Shane has one of the most distinctive voices in gospel music today, he has a proven track record in this industry and alot of respect from myself and many other industry people." The title cut from the project is a song called "No more looking back." Shane says "I am doing exactly that, I am moving forward in mylife with no more looking back." The release date for the project is Dec.16th 2003, and the first single will be released Jan. 2004.
