Naomi Sego is a name synonymous with Southern Gospel Music. She is truly a legend in her own time, and is one of the classiest ladies you'd ever meet. In this offering, her second solo recording (that I know of) of her 45-year career, we find some great old songs sung as only Naomi can do them. In the mix though, we do find a brand new song written especially for Naomi that perfectly describes her life in Christian music, and the walk she has with her Lord.
Such songs as “UNTIL THEN”, “ONE DAY I WILL”, “GRAND HOMECOMING WEEK”, “NOTHING HERE TO HINDER ME”, “OH WHAT A SUNRISE” and “BEYOND TOMORROW” speak of the determination to carry on and the hope we have of a brighter day ahead. Songs such as “NEITHER DO I CONDEMN THEE”, “THERE'S ALWAYS A RAINBOW” and “WALK WITH ME” all speak of the comfort and joy we find in Christ and in the salvation He offers to each and every man.
“THE SEEDS I HAVE SOWN” is the only new song found on this recording, and as I stated earlier, illustrates the life of Naomi Sego. I don't think there is a song that could portray what she is all about any more than this song written by Sylvia Green.
Naomi has spent 45 years traveling and singing, and it has been time well spent. She has lived her life well and has been a wonderful example of integrity, class and dignity. This recording is a testament of that and these songs are her testimony.
