Mark Lowry - Some Things Never Change
Reader Comments
It's hard for me to listen to soloists' CDs. But I give Mark 2 thumbs up! He keeps it interesting. I do think they could have chosen a better radio single. but the general public will decide if it's a success. I wouldn't run to the bookstore to buy this CD after hearing that song, but I would run there after hearing "Isn't it Amazing." And the LordSong harmonies on "I Call Him Lord..." Whew! I'm about to take off running!!!!!!!

I hope I did not offend anyone with my comments. I was merely presenting a case for first impressions. The general Southern Gospel music fan does not read reviews or logon to this great web site. They do, however, listen to radio. So, if the first song you hear off of Mark's new recording is "I Wanna Go to Heaven," then people may not be jumping at the chance to get this CD.

David,
Thanks for your review! I had a blast recording this project. Michae English, Reggie Smith and I are going into the studio in December to do an entire project together. Just for the fun of it! -Mark Lowry

 I think the new CD is GREAT!!!! I really love it, especially I wanna Go to Heaven. It is written so not only kids would understand the meaning but adults could relate to it. Some of us "like Mark" never grow up. Linda Kidd Parsons, TN

Mark Lowry is one of my all time favorite singers and comedians. He is so real in all that he does. I can still see/hear him saying "now pivot on your good foot and walk back to me" off one of his older comedy projects. I plan on getting this CD very soon! Keep on keeping on Mark!!!

You know what, the prospect of Mark having yet another musical project this soon, and with guys like Reggie and Michael, is just awesome. I'll be excited to hear this one!

There are just a few artists whose new releases are ones that I will buy without having to hear advance clips or reviews. Mark Lowry is one of those artists. The only thing better than listening to Mark sing is getting to listen to a whole quartet of Mark singing, as he does in "I Wanna Go To Heaven." My cats (also fans of his) and I are looking forward to many happy hours listening to this new CD. It's just "too good to miss."
