Living Sacrifice kicks off their sophomore recording entitled Everything's New with the toe-tapping number "Sailing." Wetting your appetite with their tight harmonies and creative vocal arrangements, this song sails to the top of my list of favorites on this record. A nice rendition of "Favorite Song of All" originally recorded by Phillips, Craig and Dean continues the pleasant listening journey with Living Sacrifice. The third cut is a fifties style tune called "Remember." Though it fits in the novelty category because of its style, it still has a great message and was fun to listen to.

"Under Grace," written by Rebecca J. Peck and Twila McBride-LeBar was one of the strongest ballads on the record. Rebecca Peck, who is making quite a name for herself as a quality song writer, also penned the title cut, "Everything's New." Speaking of strong ballads, there were quite a few on this album. "One Reason, He Did," and "Welcome to Heaven" all adequately conveyed their messages with strong vocals, matching the powerful lyrics of the songs.

"He'll Do It Again," kind of got lost in the mix for me. Not a stand out kind of song, it was just there. Thankfully, it was followed with one of Diana Needham Mummert's tunes called "Don't Have to Know." A song that everyone can relate to, I'm sure that Living Sacrifice has found it to be one of their most powerful ministry tools. Diana also contributed "Go Tell the News," a song that you'll find yourself singing along with in a matter of moments. "

A couple of other cuts to mention "I Just Rose to Tell You," which SG fans should recognize and enjoy featured the group's bass singer. "All for His Glory" reminds me of something you might hear the GVB do. Though the lead vocal on this song wasn't my cup of tea, the group sounds great. Overall the MIXED GROUP sound is their strong point.  In addition, Living Sacrifice's ability to pick a good song is a major contributor to the quality and success of this recording.
