Every once in a while I find a CD that strikes a need in this Southern Gospel genre. The need for nice Christian LOVE SONGS is frequently overlooked. I love Southern Gospel Music, but it doesn't fit the need when I am sitting across the dining room table having a romantic dinner with my wife. Perhaps those single young men in SGM are wanting to propose marriage to a beautiful young Christian lady. In these instances, “Oh What A Savior” doesn't seem appropriate. Now I love “Oh What A Savior,” but it just isn't what I want playing when the lights are dimmed for that intimate occasion with my wife. Thankfully Jim and Melissa have come through to save the day.

“Our Love Songs” is an answer for great love songs to share with the love of your life without having to support secular artists who live a life that is not acceptable to us. “Our Love Songs” is just what the title says it is. It's ten love songs written by Jim and Melissa Brady for each other. The tracks and vocals are as good as any secular CD you would buy.

Eight of the love songs were written for their wedding, and they also sang them for other couples weddings. People kept telling them that they needed to put those love songs on a CD. All of the songs are not only written by Jim and Melissa, but all of the background vocals are performed by Jim and Melissa. Songs like “I Will Survive,” "Together In Love,” and “Unexpected Love” express the love that each has for the other and build on that love making them one. Songs like “My Heart Is Yours,” “Livin' A Dream,” and “You're The One” express that love that only a man and woman can have for that one special person in their life.

As great as these eight songs are, it normally takes ten songs to make a competitive CD. Rising to the task, Jim and Melissa wrote two special songs just for this CD. “I Delighted in the Lord” is a beautiful song that ties the Christian aspect of God giving us the love of our lives with the human love that naturally develops from this supernatural meeting. This is one of my favorite songs on the CD. My other favorite is the second song that they wrote just for this CD, “Compatible.” Written with a humorous touch in mind, this song will remind every couple of just how different they are, and yet miraculously how “Compatible” they are. You will be sure to have a smile on your face as you listen to this cut.

Guys, order this CD and surprise your wife or girlfriend with and enjoyable evening of romance and LOVE SONGS. Your sweetheart will truly be impressed. BTW, dinner at a nice restaurant should go along with this romantic evening.

Jim and Melissa's website is simply http://www.jimandmelissabrady.com

The album is awesome. Truly a unique concept that has an endless life potential as long as love is in the air. Anybody that knows Jim knows that he is a perfectionist. When he likes something, you know it's good (Melissa is already perfect!)

This project offers as much for the dating couple as it does for those long married. To listen to this CD is to get a glimpse into who Jim & Melissa are. To watch them as they sing "I Delighted" to each other is to witness a couple who are truly and totally devoted to the Lord and to each other. "Compatible" just proves not only that opposites attract but that it's a good thing. (If both partners were alike, one would be unnecessary.) Buy a dozen or two and distribute them to your Marriage Matters class or to engaged couples in premarital counseling. "A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." --Ecclesiastes 4:12 (NIV)
