Jerry Bennett - No Regrets
![]() Producer: Kevin McManus Jerry has an "old country" sound, though mixed with a bit of the new; fans of the Christian Country genre will probably like this CD. Though I don't claim to be a huge fan of Christian Country, but I will say for his style, Jerry is quite good. Highlights for me include the old song "HEAVEN" , along with "THE PROMISE" (which actually charted for Jerry last year), and "OLD FASHIONED REMEDY". Other songs include "OVERBOARD", "SO LONG, FAREWELL, GOODBYE" (sounds like Conway Twitty should be singing this song!), "THERE'S NO PIT TOO DEEP", "BE OF GOOD CHEER", "CHAIN REACTION", "THE AVENUE OF PRAYER" and "YOU GOTTA PRAY". Several of the songs were either written or co-written by Jerry and for the most part, these are really good songs. In a few cases, the song idea was great, but I found the actual lyrical content to be lacking somewhat. The music tracks are great and performed by some of the greatest studio musicians available (Jason Webb, Kelly Back, Greg Galbraith, Jimmy Carter, Sonny Garrish, Mike Douchette, Rob Hajacos, Bruce Watkins, Steve Brewster, Gene Chrisman, and others). If Christian Country is your forte, then you need to check out Jerry Bennett's new release, "No Regrets." Reader Comments
