Gold City - Revival
![]() Produced by Michael Sykes, Michael English, Daniel Riley, Ken Harding, and Dave Lehman Reader Comments
I recently attended my fourth Gold City concert and the guys just get better and better. The new CD is great. The talent of this group never ceases to amaze me. This latest release is right up there with "Walk the Talk" and "Heaven", But I kinda like them all! Keep spreading the Word GC because "Ain't That What It's All About".

Having every Gold City cd since 1986,I am always awaiting their new stuff.I was disappointed with this newest cd.For me,there isnt enough Jonathan(on solos OR the mix),and correct me if Im wrong, but he IS the lead singer right???? Almost every song sounds like it has no business on the same album as the next song you hear, and their blend is extinct.Their simply is no blend. They are much better live, where you can cover that stuff up a bit.But I was disappointed. As individuals,I think these guys are all great, but in this quartet, they dont mesh well vocally. That new bass is phenomenal though.

Oh and I must say that to the reviewer---Are you being seriously honest with yourself in saying that this may be the BEST album Gold City has ever produced????This album doesnt even compare with anything they did from 1987-1991,or pillars of faith from 1992,when Gold City was untouchable. You certainly cant say that about them now.

I asked for and received this album for Christmas. I wasn't sure what to expect after these reviews, but I have to say that I am enjoying it a lot! I have some of Gold City's old projects from years ago, and they are hard to beat. I don't think that this one actually beats them, but it is a very good project and I am glad I got it. I love Aaron McCune on this and am glad that they were able to get someone who is so strong.

It`s a very good job of Gold City. In this CD, Steve is a great great Tenor. Aaron is a wonderful bass (he`s voice is like a Tim voice). Jonathan and Daniel are very good.
Sorry, but I can`t hear very well the voices of four singers when they sings together (on the chorus of the songs). Congratulations from Argentina. Sebastian
