This is a great recording of 24 previously recorded songs. Most of them were top Ten songs and many were number One songs. They are recordings of the original members of Gold City at the times the songs were originally produced. If you missed out on some of those earlier recordings, then this one will be a real treat for you. This is 20 plus years of recorded gold, with such songs as “It’s Gonna Be A Good Day”, “Once Upon A Hill”, “Midnight Cry”, “I’m Not Giving Up”, and “God’s Building A Church”. That’s just a short list of the many great songs on this CD.

Having said that, this would be just another great “classic” recording of old material, except for the fact that there is an extra CD included in the package. This is an “inter-active” CD that has some great moments caught on video, as well as some interesting interviews with the fellas.

I don’t want to spoil anything for anybody, but you won’t want to miss the “smackdown” event with Jay and the boys. Check it out, this is one interesting CD set, and is bringing some much needed innovation into the Southern Gospel industry.

Daryl, I think NOBODY'S THERE was a great song & I am surprised that the group no longer does it. They do some others that regularly that didn't chart as well. I loved the song then & still do.

Hey there, Linda...there's only one Gold City !!!
And that's probably for the best, it would become very confusing, if there were more than one claiming fame on 1 name.
They have proven thru the years, that their top-notch quality. I agree that there are those in Sogospel who
hitch a ride on former membership of greatclass acts like the Cats (Ernie Haase and SSQ for instance), but won't be in the loop anyway, eventually they all fade
Gold City isn't one of those.
Glory never fades.

Daryl, you misunderstood my post, I was saying that "Anchors Aweigh" wasn't a chart-topper, not "Nobody's There"! Sorry if I wasn't clear in my reply. I agree, "Nobody's There" is a very good song!

Hey Linda You Are Very Wrong Gold City Is One Of The Best Groups I've Ever Known. They Don't Just Make Hits By Their Name. They Have To Work To Get That Nuber One Song Just Right. Singing And Traveling Is Not Easy. It Is Very Hard Work. Have You Ever Tried It? I Haven't Either But I've Talked TO Some Of The Biggest Singers In Gospel Music. And Believe Me It Ain't Easy!!!!

Good Job On 'Nobodys There'! Beautiful Song! I Love It. I Also Write Songs. No Group Has Ever Recorded One Of Mine But Rodney Griffin Has Read One Of Them. My Best Song Was 'The Finish Line' At Least That's What Everybody That's Read It Says. What Are Some Of Your Others?

You all need to hear HisSong's version of "God Handled It All." I used to like Gold City, but their version does not hold a light to HisSong!!
