A lot of buzz has been going around about this newly formed trio consisting of Troy and Katy Peach and JP Miller. And quite frankly, the buzz matches the talent. It's the Greenes meets the Nelons and these guys have an excellent sound and blend.

The recording starts off with the slow-medium tempo, “WHAT A DAY THAT WILL BE” , which is their first single, and things quickly move on to the highly energetic, “WHO WANTS TO PRAISE THE LORD”. Next, things slow down for the worshipful, “HE MADE THE CROSS” which really sounds like something LordSong would do. This Inspirational tune is one of the highlights of the recording for me and JP Miller does a great job on the song before moving on the Country/Bluegrass flavored, “GRAND REUNION IN HEAVEN” featuring Troy Peach, which was previously recorded by Mike Bowling, as was the uptempo, “IT'S TIME TO GO BACK HOME”, which features JP.

Previously recorded by Promise , Katy turns in an excellent performance on “I'VE NEVER NEEDED HIM MORE” which is a bit different than Promise's version but I like it! Moving on is the power ballad, “ACROSS THE RIVER” which features a solo from each member of the group, before Troy sings the exuberant “THAT'S WHEN I GOT SAVED” which fits Troy like a glove and would be an excellent single to radio as well. Previously recorded by the Bowlings , Katy does a good job on the edgy, “READY TO GO” which was penned by Gerald Crabb.

The recording closes out with the title song, “FIRST LOVE” and the power ballad, “HALLELUJAH FOR THE CROSS”.

A few songs sound like the original tracks by the respective artists that recorded them, but no matter, vocally the group sounds great on each song. They have a very pleasing blend and I don't think there are 3 other voices more suited for each other than Miller, Peach and Peach. By all accounts, this is an exceptional first effort. Featuring great tracks, super vocals and an excellent choice of material, this is a rare jewel. Do yourself a favor and get this recording.

Quality, well produced music from a wonderful trio. I predict great things for First Love. The SG industry needs some quality up and coming new artists. I recommend this CD for any SG fan.

I love them!! They are going to win the hearts of any audience that gets the priviledge of being in service with them. Multi-talented individuals who are raising the bar in SGM!!!!

I love this new group! I listened to 'clips' on their website and had to order the cd. It is great, especially the 'progressive'/'churchy' cuts like Who Wants to Praise the Lord and I've Never Needed Him More. Katy is especially great!!!!

This is pretty much my favorite CD. I sent clips to my girlfriend Lafawnduh and she likes it too I guess. Still haven't got a full body shot though. Geeezzzz!

THIS CD IS PURE EXCITEMENT FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE END..ONE OF VERY FEW CDS, THAT I HAVE LISTENED TO OVER AND OVER AGAIN IN YEARS.

GREAT MESSAGES- THE GOSPEL IN EVERY SONG

This a wonderful CD for a first recording by this talented group. It would be a great recording for a veteran group too. We are looking forward to having First Love at our church in a few weeks. I know that we will be richly blessed by the music and their ministry.
