Brothers Forever – The Next Step…
![]() Producer: Roger Talley Brothers Forever is a male group from eastern Tennessee. I reviewed their last recording about this time last year, and this newest release really shows how these guys have matured as singers and this new release also shows that they have finally gelled into their own sound and style, which was my biggest gripe with their last recording. There is a common sound and a lot more continuity on this recording. The groups first single from the recording is the country tinged, upbeat tune entitled, “HE AIN’T THERE NOW”. This is one of the better songs on the recordings. Other songs include “I HAVE BEEN LOVED” (which is probably my favorite song) and “MY EVERYTHING”. I suppose my biggest concern with this recording is the lack of variety, vocally. Group members Curtis Hagy and Chris Churchwell sing all the solo parts on this recording, and it causes everything to sound very similar. I gave their first recording 3 stars, and as I said earlier, I feel since that last recording they have grown as singers and songwriters and feel there is still a lot of untapped potential. I think that this newest release is definitely the next step in the right direction for these guys. Reader Comments
