imageProduced by Ann Downing and Stephen Hubbard
Recorded live at Northstar Studios, Nashville, TN
Scarlett Song Music Label
CD and Video

Right from the first song, “Getting’ Ready Today”, which happened to be a big hit for the Downings, Ann Downing is so good at….. communicating a song. The smile on her face is genuine, and her enthusiasm is contagious.

“He’ll Deliver You” is another upbeat number that shows what kind of energy Ann is made of. After introducing Donnie McGuire, the song, “How Precious Are Your Thoughts”, is performed with just piano and is encouraging in its message. On “This World Doesn’t Own Me Anymore” Ann is joined on stage by Jeff Silvey, Jeff Pearson, and Marty Funderburk. The live backup singers do add some excitement to the song.

Another song that was made big by the Downings is the old Dottie Rambo classic “Sheltered In The Arms Of God”. Ann does a nice job on the interpretation of this song. Going straight into a very inspiring testimony of her niece, “Scarlett”, Ann sings “Tell Me Again”, a song that was written by Ann and inspired by Scarlett’s story. Have a box of Kleenex ready as you watch and listen to this song.

Nothing adds to a live video like little kids, and Ann uses them precisely at the right time and in the right way as she sings her former hit song “Climbing Jacob’s Ladder”. Relating the story of how Paul Downing wrote a cute little song for Dionne, Donnie McGuire’s daughter, Ann, Dionne, and Donnie sang “Little Children”. From this song she went into another former hit for the Downings, featuring Dionne’s mother, Joy Gardner singing “I’ve Got Confidence”.

This CD/Video is both entertaining and worshipful.

Other songs include “You Give”, “Through The Blood”, and “Precious Blood Of Jesus, Cove Me”.

Ann Downing reminds me of that great pastor's wife you may have admired. She has a great, easy-going manner.
The video allows you to see that she really believes all those words she is singing and speaking.

Her 6 guest vocalists add a special touch to her video concert.
There is even a "Bill Gaither" impression for some of your Homecoming fans.

Ann Downing's Music Ministry is very well represented in her latest offering, "Tell Me Again...Live"

As a huge fan of the Downings from back in the day, it is great to hear that Ann is still alive and doing quite well!

Gee, Dony and Joy were there, too bad Paul couldn't have dropped in from heaven to make a "Downings Reunion" group!

Ehh...this CD is nothing special... you would all be better getting the new Dottie Rambo album or the Smith, White, and Fairchild Trio CD for something truly unique. Ann Downing's CD is just more of the same ole, same ole.
