Nashville, TN… - Independent Southern Gospel artist Kristian Booth recently participated as both a preliminary and showcase judge in Embassy Music’s third annual Music City Search and Seminar for country music’s independent artists and songwriters December 5-7th in downtown Nashville. Booth’s assistance during the preliminary selection of ten finalists culminated in a finalist showcase at the Country Music Hall of Fame. At the showcase Booth joined a prestigious panel of judges ranging from a Sony Music executive to Charlie Pride’s manager to one of Nashville’s top session singers. As a representative of the independent artist community alongside these leaders from the legendary Music Row community, Booth helped rank the live performances of all ten participants who received the dream opportunity to perform in the elegant Ford Theater inside the Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame, a $37 million dollar structure is located in the heart of downtown Nashville. Last May, it had its grand opening ceremony with a guest list that included a “who’s who” of country music artists as well as the cast of the Grand Ole Opry.
Additionally, the weekend was packed with seminar classes and discussion panels offering both unsigned artists and songwriters a comprehensive overview of the music industry. As a result, Kristian Booth joined other speakers/panelists such as Curb recording artist Jeff Carson and Grammy award-winning songwriter Gordon Kennedy.
Three years ago, Booth participated in Embassy Music’s Talent Search and Seminars as an attendee. Since then, Booth, originally from Picayune, Miss., is noted for becoming the youngest male solo artist to chart in The Singing News magazine with his single, “He Was Always There” at age 22. His second self-penned single, “Hello” also hit The Singing News Top 80 chart this past year. Booth has received accolades from the likes of Vestal Goodman. This fall Booth released a brand new duet project with gospel music legend, Don DeGrate, entitled “The Truth in Black and White”. Booth is represented by the prestigious Beckie Simmons Agency.
