I want to begin by thanking SoGospel News for the opportunity for SGPA to express our views each month.

Seems like this year is really flying by, but I am happy to report that most promoters seem to be having a good year. I am getting more and more positive reports even though the economy is low, concert attendance is up, which means financial losses are down. That is welcome news.

Improved communication between everyone in our industry is a large contributing reason for the turnaround. We are not as over-saturated as in the past. We still have issues that need to be addressed, but the future looks much brighter for southern gospel music than it did several years ago.

I want to encourage everyone to attend as many concerts as possible this year and support the promoters in your area. Let’s keep southern gospel music alive and well. After all - it remains the greatest music on earth.
