Perry Sisters - "My Favorite Time Of Year"
One of the things I really appreciate about Crossroads is that they are the only Comp company that dedicates an entire Comp disc every year to seasonal Christmas music. This song is composed by group member Diane Perry Gillette, and it is a light hearted tune that captures the spirit of the season. You will get requests for this one. Crossroads Radio Airplay Sampler - November/December 2002 - cut # 1
Dale Duhl - "Night Before Christmas"
Penned and Narrated by this former Solid Gospel DJ, this song always gets a hearty response for audiences around the country. Thought provoking and timely for today this narration is based on the old "Twas The Night Before Christmas" poem, but with a message that will cause everyone who hears it to take note of their thoughts. Alas, this is my "sleeper of the week". Three Hills Music Group - Radio Disc Volume # IV - cut # 11
Since we don’t have that much Christmas music on Comps, I’m going to do some picking from some great SGM Christmas CDS for the next few weeks.
Hoppers - Great Joy - "I Wanna Hear The Angels Sing"
This is absolutely one of my favorite songs on this great Christmas CD. You can tell that the Hoppers took the same time to produce this Christmas CD as they have their other recordings. This song has a Southern Gospel feel to it, and yet gives you a wonderful Christmas feeling also. It has a wonderful thought in its message of wondering just what it sounded like that Christmas night when Jesus was born. Farmhouse Records - Great Joy - Christmas CD - cut # 3
Gatlin Brothers - A Christmas Celebration - "I Have Seen The Light"
This song features beautiful close harmony with some progressive stylings, mainly in the track, which is simply outstanding. This song is not only my favorite song from the CD, but one of my favorite Christmas songs of all time. Homeland Records -A Christmas Celebration - Christmas CD - cut # 1
