A good friend of mine introduced me to the music of these guys, and I am evermore glad they did. As one who is always on the lookout for "unknown" talent, I was quite impressed when I first listened to this CD. I realize that this recording is a couple of years old, but since they haven't released anything new as of yet, I decided I would go ahead and do a review because I felt that it deserved to be heard.

This male quartet does a good job blending with one another and they really have a good, solid sound.. If you've ever heard a group called the Daybreak Quartet from Georgia, then this group will remind you of them. The traditional quartet stylings of "OH BROTHER, STOP SEARCHING", "I'LL LIVE IN GLORY" and the Blackwood Brothers classic, "THE DEVIL CAN'T HARM A PRAYIN' MAN" really show what these guys can do. They also seem to excel in the more blood and guts (ie-The Kingsmen) feel of "I'M READY TO SEE MY LORD" and "I'M GOING THERE".

The recording also showcases the more laid back, smooth sounds of "I'LL SING HIS PRAISES", "GOD'S GRACE REACHES FARTHER" (yes, the very song recorded by Greater Vision on their Quartets CD) and "I'M DEPENDING ON GOD." Of course, no Southern Gospel recording would be complete without a couple of power ballads, and "WE WILL WORSHIP THE LAMB" (one of the real highlights of the recording) and "HALLELUJAH FOR THE CROSS" more than adequately fit the bill.

These guys are about as solid as they come, and I look forward to hearing a lot more from them in the very near future. They have a full sound and are extremely pleasing to the ear. The production quality of the recording is better than the average and I think producer, Arthur Rice, really did quite well for these guys. There is still some potential left to be realized here, and I look forward to hopefully seeing some that potential realized with their next recording.
